What should I expect on treatment day?
Many of our clients experience light stinging at point of injection and swelling for 1-2 days in the treated area.
When should I see results?
For the first 24 hours post procedure, the treatment area will be red and feel like a sunburn.
3 days - glowing skin
3-6 weeks - new blood vessels & collagen begin to form
3-6 months - overall improvement of skin tone, texture and reduction in fine lines.Results last 3-6 months with improvement up to 1 year. Best results are seen after a series of 3-5 PRP treatments given 4-6 weeks apart.
How is PRP administered?
Under sterile technique, the client’s blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to extract the platelet rich plasma (PRP). The PRP is then injected or placed topically in conjunction with the microneedling pen.
What should I avoid after treatment?
For the first 24 hours, please avoid anything that would increase the risk of contaminants or bacteria entering your face. This includes strenuous exercise the day of treatment, massaging or rubbing of the injection area, extensive sun or heat exposure, Aspirin or NSAIDS
How many treatments will I need?
During your consultation, your provider will discuss your individual needs and determine the best treatment plan. Best results seen after 3-6 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart followed annually or biannually thereafter.
