Biostimulants

Biostimulants are advanced injectables designed to revitalize your skin from within by stimulating your body’s natural collagen production. Rather than simply adding volume, biostimulants encourage gradual, natural growth of healthy, resilient skin, leading to smoother contours and a rejuvenated look over time.

What is a biostimulant?

Radiesse is composed of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) suspended in an aqueous gel carrier. CaHA particles form a “scaffold” that stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen for up to a year and elastin for up to nine months (after only one injection).

When should I see results?

Immediately smooths wrinkles and folds. Continued collagen stimulation will occur overtime.

What should I avoid after treatment?

No strenuous exercise for 48 hours post treatment. This will increase the risk of raising your blood pressure and therefore, reduce the risk of temporary bruising and infection. Avoid facials or saunas for 48 hours after your treatment. Avoid alcohol for the next 48 hours to reduce risk of bruising. Do not plan any other facial treatments (Laser, Hydrafacial, Microneedling, etc) for the next 2 weeks unless approved by your provider.

How many treatments do I need?

For best results, we recommend 1 - 3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart.

What can I expect on treatment day?

While it ultimately depends on your concerns and treatment needs, your appointment will be started with a personalized consultation. Thereafter, the treatment plan will be discussed and agreed upon. Immediately after the treatment, the most common reported side effects are temporary redness and swelling at the injection site. These effects typically resolve within two or three days.

When should I see results?

Results are seen 3-5 days after injection with maximal results at 14 days.

How long do results last?

Results vary depending on sevveral factors, including your individual metabolism, how often you utilize the muscle being treated and the dose administered. Most clients enjoy their wrinkle free faces 2-5 months, depending on the previously mentioned 3 factors.

What should I avoid after treatment?

Touching, massaging or rubbing of the injection area(s) for 4-6 hours after treatment
Dental work within 2 weeks of your injections
Taking aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, St. John’s Wort, and high doses of vitamin E for one week after treatment. These agents may increase bruising or bleeding at the injection site.
Avoid tanning and intense heat exposure of treated areas until the initial redness and swelling have resolved
If you have previously suffered from cold sores, this procedure may contribute to a recurrence.

Which Neurotoxin should I get?

Neuromodulator injections are made from a neurotoxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, which is also known as botulinum toxin type-A. During your appointment, your practitioner discuss the differences and benefits of the neurotoxins so you can best decide which one suits your needs.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are a medium depth medical grade formulation that often include TCA, Kojic Acid, Retinoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Phenol, Vitamin C and anti-oxidant, Glutathione. It solves common skin concerns such as: sun spots, acne scars, dull or aging complexion,delivering rapid results for all skin types and ethnicities. Peels also help refine pores, improving skin hyperpigmentations, controlling acne and preventing acne scars, lifting melasma.

What should I expect on treatment day?

Your skin will be degreased with acetone and then the peel is applied in layers. There might be a tingling or burning sensation with application and you will leave the office with a tanned/orange-tint to your skin. You will be given post treatment packet to bring home and apply the next day and following week.

When should I see results?

Results vary per patient, but you will notice improvement with a single procedure – 7-10 days after the initial application.

In most cases results will last 6-12 months.

What should I avoid after treatment?

Normal activities may be resumed immediately post peel. We do however recommend avoiding the following:
Excessive sweating
Sun exposure
Peeling skin with your hands (you may cut the peeled skin off, but do not pull it)
Scratching, itching or touching your face
Sleeping on light colored sheets

Some patients may only need one treatment. Best results are after 3 treatments given approximately 4 weeks apart.

Your face will be cleansed and degreased with alcohol. You will wear protective eye equipment during the treatment. The treatment will feel like a opening the door to an oven and should not be painful, no numbing cream required.
